Broad Overview

The Sr. Director, Account Management is the primary customer facing leader for accounts. The role will serve as the primary point of contact within assigned key accounts for both account management and field reimbursement, including but not limited to GPOs, hospital systems and IDNs, Federal and Payers. Lead a team of Account Managers and Field Reimbursement Managers responsible for our portfolio.

Develop relationships with accounts and key decision makers to represent the interests of BTG and its entire portfolio. Support BTG by identifying and then developing opportunities in collaboration with the account or its affiliates. Work closely with our sales stakeholders to evaluate and determine if local & national opportunities can and should be expanded system wide to drive business results, within assigned accounts. The incumbent will also be required to effectively serve as an internal advocate for assigned account issues and priorities.

As Sr. Director, Account Management, your responsibilities will include:

Serve as the primary contact at Key Accounts (GPO, IDN, Federal, Payer)

Conduct access focused brand presentations (e.g., PIE, value propositions, BIMs)

Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key accounts

Develop and implement comprehensive business plans for assigned accounts to ensure targeted growth of BTG portfolio and future brands acquired and marketed through BD.

Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with external stakeholder decision makers and account influencers within assigned accounts.

Ensure negotiated deals are in-line with Gross-to-net strategy.

Accountable for achieving access and reimbursement goals as agreed upon and identified in account generated business plans.

Develop trusting and collaborative relationships with Sales, Commercial Development, Field Reimbursement, MSLs and other colleagues to execute on identified customer business plans.

Assist our sales organizations in driving sales and/or market share results synchronized with field sales performance goals, by clearly outlining and agreeing to appropriate pull-through opportunities with sales leadership.

Identify and deliver on account point of view and priorities as part of market research, marketing planning and other internal planning processes.

Provide account coverage, coding, and payment information by payer segment to ensure accounts are aware of and understand the landscape and pathway to appropriate reimbursement.

Responsible for managing, coaching, developing, directing, and leading a high performing team of Strategic Account Managers and Field Reimbursement Managers

Managing Field Reimbursement Managers to ensure Company Access and Reimbursement objectives are met.

Ensure that all activities and interactions are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with integrity and in accordance with BTG values.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
Bachelors Degree in sciences or business, MBA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years in field sales with Rx, medical, device company or specialty drug sales

Minimum of 10 years as customer facing/account (hospital, payer, professional organization) role

Minimum of 10 years proven team leadership, while having direct reports

Specialized expertise and experience with specialty pharmaceutical account selling & management.

Well-developed relationships with key decision makers and a thorough understanding of the potential assigned accounts, are a major plus.

Understanding of the patient and reimbursement journey in the Acute Care space is a plus

Strategic skills to pull through the business with key customers

Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Dynamic leadership qualities that foster trust and empowerment of team members
